Business Loan Fund

CCEDC administers the Region 3 Business Loan Fund (BLF) for Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties. Since 1985 $7.4M has been loaned out to small to medium size businesses which leveraged $17M of investments in the local area. The goal of the program is to capitalize qualifying businesses and create jobs in Region 3.

CCEDC will generally consider business loans between $2,000 and $100,000. Loans can be made to businesses that are considering relocating or expanding in Region 3, create jobs, and can be used for the purchase of real estate, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, working capital, and inventory.

CCEDC has four loan types that meet the needs of most small to medium size businesses. A local loan committee reviews the applications and the process generally takes 3-4 weeks depending on the completeness of the application submittal. Rates and terms are determined at the time of loan committee approval.

Funding for technical assistance is also available to develop solid business skills and improve the chance for success moving forward.

MicroEnterprise Loan Fund

CCEDC also administers the MicroEnterprise Loan Fund for small businesses with capital needs of less than $100,000. Specific qualifying criteria include 5 or fewer employees at the time of application and the owner must qualify as low to moderate income.

Funding for technical assistance is also available to develop solid business skills and improve the chance for success moving forward.
