Clear Creek CARES About Business Grant Program

Clear Creek County has received Federal Cares Act funding to provide financial support to Residents, Business Owners, and Local Governments with impacts from the COVID-19 Pandemic and Economic Shutdown. In collaboration with the towns of Georgetown, Silver Plume, Empire, and the City of Idaho Springs the County has developed a new “Clear Creek Cares Business Grant Program” to provide economic support to local businesses.


Grants will be awarded in the amounts of $5,000 - $20,000 and are intended to pay for essential business-related expenses like payroll, rent, mortgages, utilities and supplies.

Eligible Businesses are those that generate sales tax, operate on commercial property and meet the following conditions:

  • Have been in operation prior to 3/5/2020 AND be open at the time of application

  • Have at least 1 W2 Employee

  • Should have closed or been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 State and/or County Public Health Order

  • Be in good standing at the municipal and county level

  • Must provide EIN #

The deadline to submit your application is Friday, September 11, 2020.

An optional application workshop will take place on August 31, 2020 at 6pm via Zoom.
